Longley Park has already embraced new technology in the form of digital registration on laptops. It wanted to take this a step further and integrate a solution that would encourage students to attend lectures. With attendance being at the top of its key objectives, this became an important requirement.
Antika built a system using Microsoft SQL Server that integrated into Longley Park's existing database, provided by Capita. It automatically creates and dispatches text messages to students who did not attend lessons. Students receive a message at the end of the day listing all the lessons they have missed. Further to this, the system allows the administrator to create and send messages to remind students about events and appointments. It has a reporting facility that lists all messages sent and those that have been received.
